Damjan's presents for his 1st birthday are big enough that he can hide in them.
I asked his mother to pose him with gifts and she decided to put him in the middle. Cool idea! I snapped several pics and was happy with results. This is when other photographers on the party noticed this cute photo op, and crowded around me to get the same photo. Most of them actually got even the same angle. Now this was becoming a typical paparazzi situation - a lot of photogs, and only one subject. How to make something different. While I was happy with being the only one with this picture, I was not going to lay down and let everybody have same thing. I wanted to see if I can make something different that none of those around me could do. So, I took of my flash (it can work remotely), put it in one of the gift bags, and set it to lowest setting. After couple of tries (kids can be wiggle around a lot), I got this one. Damjan's face is highlighted, gifts are visible and slightly fuzzy, and none of the others got the same photo. :)
