Picasso was once presented with the idea of drawing with light for the camera, and he drew a centaur.

I am certainly not Pablo, and I'm not even my cousin Yuki, as they both could make living from their paintings. Still, it doesn't mean I couldn't try to draw with light myself. :)

This was really fun project, and it combined several tricks to make it possible. First I set my flashlight to remote mode, and on the side to provide good light for me. I covered it on one side, so it doesn't light up my background, as I wanted it dark.
Next, I turned all the lights off. Even in hallway. I needed 25 seconds for the exposure, and I didn't want any stray light to change anything.
To properly set everything, I used a remote control with a 2 second delay, so I can stuff it into my pocket after pressing the button, and pose.
Now comes the tricky part. In almost total darkness, I got my laser level, posed, pressed the button, hid the remote, posed again, survived a double flash in total darkness and pupils wide open, half blind jumped next to the camera, covered the laser with my hand, aimed it at the wall, moved the hand hoping I aimed it where I wanted, and started the drawing. Did you ever tried to draw with a foot long pencil on a surface 10 feet away when you can't see the trace of what is drawn, hoping to finish roughly on the same place you started from? Trust me - it is not as easy as it sounds. Picasso could do his centaur from the first try, but it took me a few tests to make mine recognizable. :)
