Every once in a while complex mosaics are making perfect sense. One of those occasions was yesterday when Lari-Anne celebrated her 70th birthday. I used more than 1500 photos from the time we were active in her 'Balkana' folk dance group, and combined it into this mosaic using one of those photos as a template. AndreaMosaic is great software to make these kind of photos. It allows careful fine tuning of all parameters to make it just right. Hard decision is always how big to make each individual mini photo. Smaller they are, better big photo will look, but worse each one of the minis will be. Perfect balance is when small photos are easy to see and recognize while the big photo is still recognizable without too much squinting or going too far.
