Do you know how hard is it to break a boiled egg?

I was in church for Easter, and there were a lot of broken boiled eggs around, and I wanted to catch the breaking moment, so at least one of those broken ones would serve the purpose. Danko was helping me by dropping the egg on the concrete while I set my camera to rapid fire mode.

Very soon we found that just dropping it won't do a job. Don't get me wrong - it would crack the egg, but those smashed eggs I have seen around seemed to have been post processed with kids shoes instead of the PhotoShop. So Danko had to throw the egg on the concrete instead of just dropping it.

They actually bounce of the concrete like a ball. Amazing! I had to catch the rebound in order to get a good picture.
It was a fun mini project, and a few eggs had to be sacrificed in the name of the science, but result looks pretty good, even if I had to remove a blurry white car from the background to minimize a distraction from the main subject. :)

Ускрс у цркви, кувана јаја на све стране, деца трче свугде, а јаја испадају из кошарица, буду нагажена, и нико их не покупи на крају.
Е, мене је интересовало да видим како јаје изгледа када пукне о бетон. Кувано јаје. После пар проба, експеримент је показао да јаје одскаче као лоптица скочица, и да треба експозиција од пола милисекунде да се јаје ухвати у лету и виде сви детаљи.
