San Clemente
Between San Diego and L.A.
San Clemente we visited today.
We came down to the beach,
With lunch, holding each.
Got greeted with "Happy Sunday",
And responded "Happy Everyday".
A mother and her daughter,
Celebrate Sundays by the water,
Honoring (Gran)Dad weekly,
When we passed by, meekly.
My banana shirt and smile,
Reminded them of his style.
Sun, beach and great waves,
Soon, each about daughter raves.
It was to be a short lunch break,
Not a long talk to partake.
Memorable moment it was,
We talked about all, just because.
Hammy was a topic, and his book,
So they had to take a look.
Even squirrel joined reading,
In this surprisingly fun meeting.
